I had a customer call today looking for the person in the showroom. That person was on the phone, so I asked them if they would like to leave a voice mail. They responded with, “Can I leave a voice mail for them at this phone?” and since my phone doesn’t have voice mail I said I could email the person a message for them. Then they say, “Oh! You’re in another building!” so I explained to them that I’m in the same building and just on another floor. Then they say, “Oh…Can I leave a voice mail then?” We could have saved a lot of time if they had just said yes when I first asked them.
