A customer calls up looking for a serial number to a previous order. After telling me the life story of this situation, without letting me get a word in, I tell him that accounts receivable should be able to look it up for him. Then he asks, “Where? Kingston?”. The man already acknowledged in his story that he knew the location I work in gets this paperwork, why would I send him somewhere else? And those two things don’t even sound the same at all.
